Holiday! Ooh Yeah, Ooh Yeah!
Thank you Madonna, or should I say The Gristle That Used To Be Mrs Ritchie.
Imagine being referred to as gristle! Hilarious! And sort of true, but I digress...
I am one happy camper right now. I'm on holidays for 3 weeks! Well apart from having to work xmas eve, but you get that when you are head honcho and the kiddly winks need some Christmas fun too.
I took a mature approach to last week - I decided that I can seperate what was said to me from the person and see it as a stress attack. I am still being spied on based on positive feedback from my boss this week over something 'professional' that I did that was noticed by someone of importance. I feel like I'm continually getting a school report card on my work and behaviour.
I had a lovely week with the work girls, lots of present swapping and just general caring about each other as human beings. They are a good bunch of eggs. And my Secret Santa present is GORGEOUS!!!! My big boss came down to drop her secret santa present off and decided to speak with me for the first time since my whipping. I was very in control of the convo and she was all flushed and stuttery. I was polite though - not tude in the voice! See I can play the game when it serves me to.
Miss Stussy has a sore ear and I have discovered she no likie ear drops to the point that she ate the entire bottle and its contents. What is more inspiring about her efforts is that she was wearing a muzzle to avoid this very thing! The vet was more worried about the long plastic bit stuck in her digestive system than the fluid itself. Today she got the ear cleaned out - it only took 3 of us to hold her down and she shook ear guck all over my hair and arm while it was happening. Great.
So first day of the holidays and I am doing my list of things to do each day and today, yes peeps today, I achieved everything on that freaking list!!!!!!! Can't tell you the last time that happened. We are talking years. We also took the dogs to the dog park for a jaunt. Stussy tried to outdo Wolf by running the obstacles with her eyes shut. Oh wow did I just jump that fence? Later we sat up on top of the big ramp surveying the world and Stussy tried to jump onto the ramp like Wolf, except she didn't realise it was all sloping so she did a bit of a downward skiddy, quite funny. Tonight they are all curled up and content.
Part of this whole change process is to achieve more of the things I need to and to make time for unplanned and active activities. Today I did just that. Kind of proud!
