What's the best music documentary or concert film you've seen?
There are two I have to mention. First one is Woodstock. Even though I was a baby when the event happened I still watch the footage and imagine what it must've been like to have been there. It was an amazing moment in musical history.
The other is the Robbie Williams Knebworth concert from 2003. It makes me cry, gasp, laugh and sing a long. I didn't even like him in 2003 but hold that concert as a yardstick for all other large outdoor ones I go to. Saw the Robster last year. It was the 2nd best concert I have been to in 25 years of concert going but it still didn't touch the magic of Knebworth - even on dvd.
Do you have a sixth sense? How do you experience it?
On and off over the years I've had loads of dreams (both when I'm asleep and when I'm awake) that give me insights into things happening or that will happen to people close to me. It is like I just 'know' something or I 'see' it actually happening in front of me. Over the years I've done tarot cards and runes for people as well but just if they ask me too. I see things about jobs and activities people are going to undertake (or not). Lots of things have come true.
The one prediction that has had the longest legacy is me telling my best friend that I felt she would die before she was 45. That was a few years back now and she has slowed her once hectic life right down and I don't feel this about her anymore, but I do know that there is still someone very close by who I/we (because it is still linked to my bestie in some way) will lose unexpectedly over the next couple of years. I also feel it could be sooner rather than later. It feels very close.
And here's another freaky thing for you. I am flying OS in a couple of days and for about the last 2 days have had a feeling in my gut that something major will happen related to a plane I am on or airport I am in. I'm thinking some kind of terrorism scare that will not result in an accident or loss of life of any kind. I know I'll be alright though and am not scared at all. If I was at all concerned on the day I simply wouldn't get on the flight.
So I guess we'll have to wait and see if I'm full of shite or not......
How do you beat writer's block?
Submitted by marvel is my pen name.
I did some creative writing subjects at uni and we had a couple of fun ways to break a writers block. Basically you think up some totally seperate things and try and create a story out of them. For example, think of a colour, a food, a place and a wierd habit/affliction/dream. Put those items together to form the name of a character, a setting, and theme for your story. So my character might become White Ham (or probably Whitey Ham sounds funnier) who lives on a beach who suffers from hives. He could also dream about becoming a race car driver to up the ante on the silliness of it all.
Because you aren't writing about something you have been brewing over/stuck on, it just kind of frees up your creative juices. The stories you come up with are also very funny (but not Nobel prize winners).
Remeber you don't always have to write something brilliant. Writing is a craft and practice can improve it.
How do you pass the time during a flight? What do you bring in your carry-on?
My preference is to sleep like the dead but I have been known to irritate those around me by carrying on long and noisy conversations with new passengers I have just met. If I am flying with a friend of mine (you know who you are!) then my job is to remain in damage control the whole flight while she drinks herself into a stupor to overcome her fear of flying.
Carry on luggage - I'd take a lot more if those damn airline people weren't so damn fussy and those seat pockets weren't so damn small! (I do always take a pack of wine gums and normally eat them all in 5 mins!)
What word(s) do you always make a typo in?
Brian (instead of 'brain') and Manger (instead of 'manager'). Is there some Freudian interpretation of this that I should be aware of?????
And does anyone else have the stupid habit of backspace/deleting every letter of the word and starting again from scratch, even though you may have only misspelled two of the letters and not the whole word? Most people I know with high typing speeds do it. What is that about?
What's the most obsessive-compulsive thing you do in a normal day?

My worst OCD issue is 'sets of something'. If something comes in more than one colour or part of a series/collection then only buying the one is absolute torture for me and I self talk to myself about it until I eventually go back and buy the others (or search endlessly for it on eBay). We are talking shoes, tops, nail polish, books, magazines, cd's and dvd's mostly (oh and Christmas decorations!), but even choosing what colour mobile phone to buy can be absolute torture (since I can't afford more than one!).
On the positive side, I am the friend you go see if you are looking for something to borrow!
